In 2019, with more determination than certainty, Mónica arrived in Savannah, Georgia, carrying a suitcase full of hope, courage, and the dream of creating a better life for her family. She didn’t speak much English and had very limited resources—but what she did have was unstoppable drive.

She landed her first job cleaning houses for a local company. Mónica was punctual, meticulous, and hardworking. But that wasn’t all—she also worked night shifts, cleaning offices and commercial buildings after hours. While mopping floors and disinfecting bathrooms, she was also paying close attention. She observed how the business was run, how clients were treated, how pricing was set… and slowly, one thing became crystal clear:
